Big News: Registration for Art Scouts 2017 is now open! And we are filling up fast. Want to learn more about this summer's Scouts? Here you go...
Here is a look at what our schedule of events looks like:
We're going to introduce you to so many projects, you'll be able to kick off your school year with plenty of clay (for no kiln and kiln friends), fibers, collage and painting projects. Not to mention, you'll meet so many new art teacherin' types that will become fast friends. It really is a summer camp experience...but for art teachers!
Last summer we hosted our first ever Art Scouts in Ohio, home to Laura and Ginger. You can check out that experience right here. Just a matter of weeks after that, Jen and I had folks join us in Nashville, Tennessee. It truly was the highlight of our summer (maybe even our year!) to spend time with so many fun, dedicated and creative art teacherin' types. We are looking forward to an even bigger and better experience this summer!
So looking forward to meeting friends, new and old, and spending time sharing our passion: Art Teacherin'. Get yourself over here and register to join Art Scouts 2017!
Where do I find the cost of these sessions ?

DeleteWIll you be offering any in OHIO this year?? The dates for the tennessee art scouts don't work for me... I would love if it was closer to PA..
ReplyDeleteWe aren't heading to Ohio this year. Just TN. Sorry we will miss you!
DeleteForgive me, but I couldn't figure out how to direct contact you without leaving a post on one of your blogs. Since I was a Tennessee Girl Scout leader for many, many years, I thought this was the best blog to post on.
ReplyDeleteI'm doing my best to make sure all Tennessee students are aware of this art competition… — please share! ❤
Tennessee student art competition, grades 1–12. Exhibition opens up the Parthenon early September 2017.
EXTENDED DEADLINE – MAY 1, 2017 (postmarked). Please call/text me your email address so I can send you a JPEG flyer of the art competition and rules. 615-289-2264 ❤
Is it possible to get a materials list? I want to make sure I order what I need to recreate this projects with my students, and I have to turn in my order for next year by May 19. So excited to get new ideas and make new friends.
ReplyDeleteWe will be weaving (yarn), creating in clay, painting, collaging and working in fibers (Sue over at Back to Back Fiber is who we are working with). I hope that helps! See you soon!!
DeleteI'll be watching for this for next year! We're still working up here in the great white north until June 30th.
ReplyDeleteTake a PD day and join us this year! :)
DeleteI am preparing an application for a scholarship to go NEXT year (hopefully you will do this again!) and I need to itemize my estimated costs. Can someone tell me the cabin rates per night? I couldn't get into the park's website to get that information without actually making the reservation. Thank you in advance!
ReplyDeleteI don't know offhand...you may want to call. That being said, we don't know that we will be in the same location next year. Wish I could be of more help!
DeleteHave you heard if the entire Inn and Cabin area are booked up already? I really want to go, but would make it part of a dog adventure. Camping in July with dogs is not really a safe thing..... I REALLY need to be inspired so I will start looking at other places nearby I guess...
ReplyDeleteHi Kirsten! I'm almost positive it is not booked up...we reserved a block of rooms for y'all! You will need to call to reserve otherwise the rooms will appear to be booked up if not. When you call, mention Art Scouts!
DeleteCan you give info on PD Hours??? thanks!
